In this study, we simulated heat exchanger controller using LQG controller. MATLAB software has been used widely
to indentify deviation from experimental data. We used LQG controller witch is a controller that depends on several
penalization variables called tuning knobs. Tuning will be performed by using an optimization technique. For the
optimization we need to get a real number instead of probability density function (pdf). A function which maps the pdf
to a real number has to be used. It can be the expected value approximated as a sample mean. Other advisable choice is
such value, for which the user requirements satisfied are with given probability. Finally, we found out the model
accurate enough to use for laboratory scale. Although we have not examine this model for actual state yet. We also
believe that good fitting of simulation and experimental curve can be a good reason for using it as industrial design.
