Different thin step- type pt/q-Al2O3 catalysts have been prepared by co-impregnation technique using citric acid as the
competitive adsorbate. Adsorption of platinum in these catalysts was assessed experimentally. It was observed that
citric acid concentration has essential effect on the amount of adsorbed platinum. The less the citric acid concentration,
the more the platinum adsorption was found. The adsorption yield for catalysts with 0.1 M citric acid was 90-91%,
while this amount preceded by 95-96% for those with 0.02M citric acid.
