Samples with the formula of LaCoCexO(3+δ), where x is 0.0 or 0.3 were prepared and compared according to the
structural properties to study the effect of the ceria addition on LaCoO3 perovskite. Samples were prepared by the
citrate method and calcined at 600oC for 8 h, followed by the calcination at 700oC for 5 h. Perovskite structure is
observed in XRD patterns of studied catalysts. Results show that the ceria is not appeared in the perovskite structure. To
this end the catalyst can be considered as LaCoO3 perovskite supported ceria. Results are evidence for a further affinity
of La3+ toward the Co3+ than of the Ce4+. Ceria, however, was observed to deteriorate the crystallization.
