An experimental dryer was developed for determining the moisture content of slab woods in
variable drying times. Moisture contents were examined using different models. The drying data were fitted
to the different semi-theoretical models such a Lewis, Page, new modified page, and Henderson and Pabis.
Among the results obtained, the high level of correlation between the measured and calculated data justifies
the new modified Page model.
