Polyaniline nanocomposites were generated in water/methanol solution by using KIO3 as an oxidant in the presence of
various surfactants such as dodecyl benzene sulfonate acid sodium salt, poly(vinyl alcohol) and
hydroxylpropylcellulose with different concentrations. The size of nanoparticles were measured to be ~50-100nm. The
results indicate that the morphology and size of products are dependent on the concentration of surfactant and solution.
The chemical structure was obtained by using fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The results show that the
intensity of peaks is dependent on the type of surfactant.
The products also were characterized in terms of conductivity, morphology, yield of monomer to polymer.
