This study focuses on solving the mathematical modelling of a complex and subtle physiological process in real life: the steady activation of a skeletal muscle. The related governing equation appears as a non-standard Volterra integral equation. Then, an efficient iterative method based on the quasilinearization and Galerkin methods is proposed to solve it.
