In this paper, we propose a direct meshless local PetrovGalerkin (DMLPG) method for solving the two-dimensional timefractional diffusion wave equation. This method is based on a generalized moving least square (GMLS) and a local weak form ofthis equation. By observing the numerical results obtained fromthese methods, one can find the efficiency and accuracy of thesemethods.
