In this paper, we define $2-$conformal vector fields on Riemannian manifolds and study the geometry of theses vector filed on warped product manifolds as well as on standard static space-time. Conditions on $2-$cinformal vector fields on a warped product manifold to be parallel are derived. We also obtain some results on the curvature of warped product manifolds in terms of $2-$conformal vector fields.
