In this paper, a new version of Ekeland’s variational principle by using the concept of τ -distance for bounded from be_x0002_low functions which are not necessarily lower semicontinuous is provided. This new version will be applied to establish an exis_x0002_tence theorem for a solution of the cyclically antimonotone quasi_x0002_equilibrium problem in the setting of complete metric spaces.
