In this study, the adsorption process with modified polymeric adsorbent was investigated to separate uranium ions from an aqueous solution. The polymeric adsorbent consists of polypropylene (PP) as a base material and a monomeric solution containing acrylamide (AM) and acrylic acid (AAc). The optimum conditions for initial aqueous pH, temperature, and residence time were optimized equally to 8.5, 25°C, and 4 h, respectively. The percentage of uranium adsorption was obtained equal to 85 % at the optimum conditions. Also, the process of continuous adsorption in a fixed-bed column was investigated.
