چكيده فارسي :
The present study aims at determining metacognitive awareness among Iranian EFL students. To this end, 64 EFL students majoring in English translation took part in the study. These learners were asked to fill in Metacognitive Awareness Inventory by Schraw and Dennison (1994). The results were gathered and used in statistical analyses. It was concluded that metacognitive awareness of the students are high. Additionally the participants obtained high mean scores on the two levels of metacognition. The obtained results may help EFL Learners as well as teachers and curriculum designers to keep the benefits of developing metacognitive awareness in mind when dealing with language learners’ promotion in learning.
