One of the limitations of textiles in electrochemical applications is their very low electrical conductivity. In this paper, electroconductivity was created through coating reduced graphene oxide (rGO) on the surface of cotton fabric using spin coating method. Then, the prepared rGO-coated cotton fabric was used as the substrate for electrodeposition of zinc oxide on its surface. by Electrodeposition process was carried out using cyclic voltammetry. Successful synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticles on the surface of rGO-coated cotton fabric was evaluated using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The photocatalytic activity of the prepared rGO-coated cotton fabric was investigated through measuring the degradation rate of methylene blue solution exposed to a UV lamp. The prepared ZnO NPs/rGO-coated cotton fabric indicated a good photocatalytic activity with the degradation rate constant of 0.0199 min-1 and the efficiency of 93.8% after 120 minutes. This can attributed to existence of zinc oxide nanoparticles on its surface.
