In this study a magnetic nanopowder for the development of latent fingerprints in semi-industrial scale was prepared. Instrumental techniques such as VSM and TEM were used to characterize the nanopowders. To show that the achieved structure and properties are well-suited for forensic science, fingerprints developed using the Fe3O4@SiO2@Me nanopowders were applied on the sheet of paper. The nanopowder, Fe3O4@SiO2@Me, offers simple synthesis process, convenient use for routine casework and low price.
