This investigation scrutinizes the complex dynamics between herbal extracts and low-level green laser irradiation as a robust strategy against antibiotic-resistant Escherichia coli strains. Employing meticulous extraction processes, selected herbal sample, celebrated for their antibacterial properties, were transformed into potent solution. The spectral analysis of the extract of (H.sabdariffa) revealed a notable absorption peak at a wavelength of 532 nm, aligning with low-power green laser irradiation. This signifies a targeted impact for the destruction of E. coli bacterial cells. Substantial zone of inhibition in well diffusion test presented the antibacterial properties of the selected herbal sample. Quantitative assessments, spanning Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) tests, unveiled lower concentrations required for growth inhibition and bactericidal effects and these tests showed the enhanced efficacy of the combined treatment. Time-dependent killing kinetics elucidated sustained bacterial reduction during specific intervals of laser irradiation with herbal extracts. Robust statistical analyses consistently affirmed the significance of our findings. This innovative approach signifies a promising paradigm for tackling antibiotic resistance, emphasizing the potential synergy between herbal medicine and low-level green laser technology in effective bacterial control.
