According to the ISO 20816 standard, one of the main criteria for evaluating specific rotating machines is the root mean square (RMS) value of the vibration velocity. In real-time applications, a cost-effective and common way to measure velocity is to integrate the acceleration signal obtained through an accelerometer. Due to the drift in the accelerometer (DC component, measurement error, etc.), there will be errors in the velocity values. To solve this problem, three acceleration processing methods using LabVIEW are compared and the advantages and disadvantages of these methods as well as their practical aspects are studied in this paper.
