A nanocomposite particulate material was prepared by combining the Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanosheets with different contents of alginate. To incorporate MoS2 nanosheets into alginate, a mixing/ultrasonication process was utilized, followed by freeze-drying to obtain a solid composite material. Various techniques were employed to characterize the resulting nanocomposite, which included field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), and Raman Spectroscopy. The FESEM analysis indicated that a sheet-like morphology was formed after a 1 h calcination process at the temperature of 600 ◦C. The formation of the molybdenum disulfide alginate composite was confirmed through the results obtained from Raman spectroscopy. In conclusion, the findings from this research can be utilized for the synthesis of molybdenum disulfide nanosheets as a multi-purpose material for creating nanocomposites with potential applications in the field of biomedicine.
