TiNb2O7 (TNO) is a promising anode material for lithium-ion batteries due to its unique properties. In this study, the nanostructured TiNb2O7 has been synthesized by ball-milling of TiO2 and Nb2O5 raw materials and subsequent heat treatment. Two methods were investigated. In the first method, the sample was milled only once and then heat treated and the second method involved milling the sample in two steps, with heat treatment done between these two steps. The capacity of the lithium-ion batteries at 1C were measured at 250 and 85.6 mAh/g and after 200 cycles it were measured at about 140 and 57 mAh/g.
