كشور ايران داراي تنوع اقليمي، منابع طبيعي گسترده و فراواني است و حفظ اين تنوع و گسترش مستلزم مديريت و توجه در ايران شده است. منابع طبيعي در ايران علاوه بر منافع اقتصادي، اكولوژيكي ـ ژئولوژيكي و فرهنگي ـ اجتماعي، سبب اشتغال و جهش توليد در بخش هاي بومي و محلي مختلف مي‌شود. جهش توليد مفهومي عملي براي جهش كشور در بعد اقتصاد و قدرت نظامي و فرهنگي و علمي و تكنولوژيك است .يكي از اهداف آن ايجاد يك اقتصاد غيرشكننده و در عين حال پاسخگو در زمينه هاي مختلف است. با توجه به اين كه ايران امن‌ترين كشور منطقه با موقعيت طبيعي فوق‌العاده و پديدهاي طبيعي جالب است، ميتوان با جذب گردشگران خارجي و داخلي در فضايي مناسب به رشد و شكوفايي مناطق مختلف ايران دست يافت و هم اين امر سبب جهش توليد و اشتغال بسياري از اقشار مردم شده است البته اين امر مستلزم حفظ منابع طبيعي و محيط زيست براي آيندگان مي باشد.
