Depending on how the individual system components are interconnected and the control method used, solar-based cooling systems can take on a variety of configurations. In this research, an absorption cooling system integrated with a solar collector is investigated for four cities of Iran. The solar radiation information using the Meteonorm software is presented for these cities. Also, system simulation is performed in TRNSYS software. It is worthy to note that an auxiliary Heater considered in this system is used when there is insufficient solar energy. The obtained results show that to provide 50 kW cooling during the summer season in Zahedan, about 1.477 1012 kJ.h-1 heat energy is needed, also for Tehran, Tabriz, and Mashhad, this value is about 1.461 1012 kJ.h-1, 1.427 1012 kJ.h-1, and 1.455 1012 kJ.h-1, respectively. Which 34.85%, 34.14%, 31%, and 33.49% mentioned heat rate for each city is provided by solar energy during the summer months, whereas the auxiliary heater earns the rest.
