Aim and Background: Artificial intelligence and nanotechnology is two fields that have been instrumental in realizing the goal of precision medicine and the treatment of diseases. Methods: to analyze this approach PubMed and Google scholar reference list of studies and reports of 3 keywords included. Results and discussion: Recent conversion is enabling better patient data acquisition and improved design of nano materials for personalized treatment. Osteoarthritis (OA) is a multifactorial disease that affects the entire joint, resulting in disability and severe pain and cause a lower quality of life. Nanotechnology platforms may be combined with cell, gene and biological therapies for new generation of future OA drugs. Nanotubes, magnetic nanoparticles and other nano based drugs may be used for targeting molecular pathway and pathogenic mechanisms in OA. Diagnostic nanomaterials are used to assemble a patient specific disease profile to improve the treatment outcome. Nanomedicine design also benefits from the application of artificial intelligence by optimizing properties of material according to predicted interactions with the target drugs, biological fluids, immune systems and all aspects witch affect the therapeutic efficacy. Conclusion: in this study; different strategies in artificial intelligence are summarized to determine the promise of nanotechnology to the future personalized OA medicine.
