Introduction: Artificial Intelligence (AI) plays a pivotal role in enhancing self-care among vulnerable patients. The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of artificial intelligence on self-care in vulnerable patients. Methods: A comprehensive review of existing literature sourced from reputable databases including PubMed, and Scopus. Keywords such as Artificial Intelligence, self-care, vulnerable patients, were employed to identify relevant studies. The selected articles were meticulously evaluated based on their relevance, methodology, empirical findings, and alignment with the study s scope. Results: The synthesis of existing literature underscores the tangible impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in bolstering self-care for vulnerable patients. AI s capability to analyze intricate medical data and simulate human cognition positions it as a powerful tool for optimizing self-care practices. Several pivotal findings underscore AI s contributions: Early Detection and Prediction: AI harnesses data analytics to recognize subtle health changes, enabling early detection of deteriorations in vulnerable patients. This promotes timely interventions and mitigates adverse outcomes. Optimal Treatment Selection: AI-driven algorithms analyze patient data and historical treatment outcomes to recommend personalized, effective treatments, tailoring interventions to individual needs. Personalized Interventions: AI leverages patient data to generate personalized self-care plans, empowering patients with targeted strategies that align with their unique conditions and preferences. Adverse Event Prediction: By scrutinizing patient data and identifying correlations, AI predicts potential adverse events, allowing proactive measures and preemptive care strategies.: AI provides crucial information to healthcare professionals during care-related decisions, offering data-driven insights to optimize self-care plans and interventions. Medical Language Processing: AI s language processing capabilities enhance accessibility to medical information, aiding in interpreting test results, understanding medical texts, and facilitating effective communication between patients and providers. Collectively, AI s potential in augmenting self-care for vulnerable patients holds significant promise for the future of healthcare. Through its multifaceted roles, AI empowers patients with tailored self-care strategies while assisting healthcare professionals in delivering optimized care. As AI technology advances, its continued integration into self-care strategies is expected to yield improvements in patient outcomes and healthcare quality. Conclusion: AI s roles encompassing early detection, personalized interventions, treatment optimization, adverse event prediction, decision support, and medical language processing hold substantial promise.
