جوامع براي بقاي خود به رعايت و توسعه اخلاق نياز دارند. تأثير گسترده مهندسي بر سلامت و رفاه انسان‌ها و بروز بسياري از اعمال غيراخلاقي در اين حوزه سبب شده است كه اخلاق مهندسي به يك اولويت تبديل شود. پژوهش حاضر باهدف شناسايي و رتبه‌بندي مؤلفه‌هاي اخلاق از ديدگاه نهج‌البلاغه انجام شد. ابتدا به‌منظور جمع‌آوري مؤلفه با استفاده از تكنيك تحليل محتوي، مؤلفه‌هاي مؤثر در اخلاق از كتاب نهج‌البلاغه استخراج شد و سپس براي شناسايي و رتبه‌بندي مؤلفه‌هاي مؤثر بر اخلاق مهندسي از پرسشنامه‌هاي تهيه‌شده مبتني بر روش تحليل چند معياره الكتره استفاده شد. پرسشنامه‌ها را هجده نفر از مديران سازمان‌ها و شركت‌هاي مهندسين مشاور ارائه‌دهنده خدمات فني و مهندسي شهر كرمان با پنج سال سابقه مديريت و حضور در اين حرفه تكميل كردند. نتايج پژوهش نشان داد كه مؤلفه پاسخگويي، پايبندي به ضوابط و قوانين مهم‌ترين مؤلفه‌هاي اخلاق مهندسي هستند
