مناظره يكي از انواع ادبي است كه پيشينه كهن در زبان و ادبيات فارسي و ساير تمدن هاي كهن از جمله بين النحرين ،يونان و هند دارد .در اين گونه ادبي شاعران بزرگ و صاحب سبكي از گذشته تا به امروز طبع آزمايي كرده اند،از جمله اسدي توسي ،نظامي گنجوي و داستان سرايان پيرو او ،خواجوي كرماني و پروين اعتصامي. در اين شيوه بيان هنري، دو طرف با بحث و گفت و گو به بيان ديدگاه خود مي پردازدند و در اين بين گاهي گفت و گو ميان دو حيوان،انسان،اشيا و... است، در مواردي توسط نويسنده دعوا و كش مكشي بين دو طرف ايجاد ميشود تا مقصود و هدف نويسنده آشكار شود. در ادبيات معاصر فارسي ، پروين اعتصامي يكي از بزرگان فن مناظره به حساب مي آيد و يكي از وجوه بسيار مهم مناظره هاي او، كثرت و فراواني آثار او در موضوعات و تصوير سازي هاي بسيار جذاب و گوناگون و همچنين از همه مهم تر عامه پسند هست.پروين بيشتر به موضوعات و مسائل اجتماعي و انساني در آثار خود مي پردازد كه به همين خاطر آثار او دلچسب و مورد پذيرش عموم مردم واقع شده است.در اين مقاله با روش توصيفي و تحليلي به برسي لايه ها تصوير سازي،ويژگي هاي اخلاقي، انگيزه و نتيجه در چندي از آتار پروين اعتصامي كه بر زبان حيوانات تكيه دارد ميپردازيم
