Industrial wastewaters are becoming more and more complex and that was owing to the attendance of emerging impurities. Water is essentially contaminated by the wastes that discharge from several industrial performances. The ozonation process has been widely applied in water and wastewater treatment, such as for disinfection, for degradation of toxic organic pollutants. An experimental study investigated the potential of ozone to remove methylene blue (MB) dye from synthetic dye effluent. The volume of the solution used in this study was 1000 ml, which is the reason for its superiority and innovation compared to other studies. Effects of operating parameters such as contact time and initial dye concentration were investigated. It was observed that the contact time had a significant effect on the test stages, so the amount of removal increased with the increase of time. All tests have a color removal percentage above 97.9%. The experimental results are in favor of the removal process of ozone.
