اعتقاد به حضرت مهدي ومهدويت يكي از اصول و اعتقادات اصلي شيعيان اثني عشري در طول تاربخ بوده و از اهميت خاصي برخوردار بوده است. از طرفي منتظران و شيعيان آن حضرت در دوره غيبت كبري وظايف خاصي دارند. مقاله حاضر با استناد به آيات و روايات درصدد برآمده مهمترين اصول و اعتقاداتي كه در عهد غيبت آن امام همام بايد مورد توجه و عنايت شيعيان قرار گيرد ذيل پنج عنوان معرفت، فضيلت انتظار، ممنوعيت تعيين زمان ظهور، اعتقاد به ظهور و اعتقاد به وجود حضرت مهدي به روش توصيفي تاريخي و با توجه به ايات و روايات وارده از معصومين تبيين نمايد

Belief in Hazrat Mahdi and Mahdavit was one of the main principles and beliefs of the Twelver Shiites during the Tarbakh era and has been of special importance. On the other hand, the waiters and Shiites of the Holy Prophet have special duties during the Great Absence period. Based on the verses and traditions, the present article aims to highlight the most important principles and beliefs that should be given the attention and care of Shiites during the absence of Imam Hammam under the five headings of knowledge, the virtue of waiting, the prohibition of determining the time of the appearance, belief in the appearance and belief in the existence of the Prophet. Mahdi should explain in a historical descriptive way and according to the verses and narrations from the innocents
