Nowadays, there is a lot of attention to the use of polymer nanofibers in tissue engineering, since they can mimic the natural extracellular matrix (ECM) in various aspects of structure, chemical composition, and mechanical properties. Nanofibrous has a better performance compared to other developed microstructures. In addition, electrospun natural biopolymers have been considered as ideal candidates for the construction of nanofibrous scaffolds due to their favorable biological properties. Among natural biopolymers, alginate has attracted much attention for its application in tissue engineering due to the specific memories of alginate and its similarity to the main components of the ECM in the human body. The present research investigates the preparation of alginate-poly(vinyl alcohol) nanofiber(ALPA- nf) for application in tissue engineering. ALPA-nfs were fabricated by electrospinning using PVA blended with alginate in surfactant holding an aqueous medium.
