using polymeric membranes for carbon dioxide separation suffer from low selectivity despite proper permeability. For example, polyether block amide (PEBA) membranes have low gas selectivity despite great attention in the gas separation industry due to their favorable permeability and mechanical properties. Therefore, obtaining membranes with high selectivity seems necessary. Herein, the surface of the PEBA-2533 membrane was modified by medium-sized amin compounds like triethylene tetraamine (TETA), tetraethylene pentaamine (TEPA), pentaethylene hexaamine (PEHA)) and toluene, through the immersion method. The decrease in the gas permeability of CO2 in the membranes modified with TETA, TEPA and PEHA compared to the pure membrane was 31.32%, 40.52%, and 0.39%, respectively. In contrast, the CO2 selectivity compared to N2 for the membranes modified with TETA, TEPA, and PEHA showed an increase of 68.8%, 54.93%, and 63.82%, respectively.
