Expanding energy demands, lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) have become an attractive subject for many researches all over the world. Some of these researches are focused on solving the issues of the separator as one of the main components in LIBs. Preparing high ion conductivity, electrolyte uptake, electrochemical stability, and mechanical strength are some of the important goals in getting a good separator. Zirconium oxide complex bridged by terephthalic acid ligands (Uio 66) is a porous metal-organic material. In the present work, two different concentration of synthesized Uio 66 (2.5 and 5 wt%) were applied in the matrix of PVDF and the phase-separated membrane were cast from them. Electrolyte uptake was enhanced from 300 to about 380 % from neat PVDF to 5 wt% Uio 66 incorporated PVDF. The ion conductivity of fabricated membranes also showed an increase from about 3.5 to 4 ms.cm-1.
