In this study, polyurethane/nanocellulose/activated carbon (PU/NC/AC) nanocomposite membrane fabricated successfully and used to remove basic violet 16 dye from water. Micro-structure of the nanocomposite membrane was investigated by FESEM. Adsorption values of the fabricated nanocomposite membrane was evaluated using basic violet 16 dye as absorbent. The results showed that the maximum removal of basic violet 16 dye by PU/NC/AC membrane was carried out at pH=12 during 90 min with an adsorbent dosage of 0.2 gr.
