Abstract Naturally water-soluble polymers have gained attention because they are hydrophilic and exhibit low immunogenicity. In this study, alginate sulfate and polyvinyl alcohol in a ratio of 30:70 were electrospun in the presence and absence of acetic acid. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images showed that both samples were uniform and had a suitable bead-free morphology. However, the diameter of nanofibers decreased by addition of acetic acid to the solution.
