In this study, a novel thermosensitive implant containing PCL nanoparticles has been synthesized as a possible candidate for drug delivery applications. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) exhibited the spherical morphology of the nanoparticle and dynamic light scattering (DLS) showed the hydrodynamic diameter of 609 nm. Then, nanoparticles were incorporated into a gellan-based hydrogel with 1, 3, and 5) % w/v). A gelation time of 7 min was achieved for the optimum sample (3(%w/v)). Also, the swelling ratio of the optimum sample was found to be 11%, 13%, and 15% at different time points of 5, 10, and 15 min, respectively. Such a drug delivery system has a high potential to be used as a suitable carrier for bone inflammations.
