In this research, focusing on the structure of multimodal oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) nanoparticles, the effect of mixing reactive and non-reactive POSS on changes in viscosity of polymer nanocomposites was discussed. In the following, the effect of the length of the organic pendant groups of POSS nanoparticles and the mechanism of its effect on the rheological behavior of polymers were investigated. Finally, a comparison was made between the effect of the length of pendant groups of OctaIsobutyl-POSS (OibPOSS) and Isooctyl-POSS (IoPOSS) on the rheological behavior of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and polystyrene (PS).
