Temperature-sensitive poly (N-isopropylacrylamide) nanogels were prepared by perception polymerization of N-isopropylacrylamide with different densities of N, N-methylene-bis acrylamide (MBA) as crosslinker in the presence of silica nanoparticlesmodified with different amounts of 3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl methacrylate (MPS). After silica removal, the relevant hollow nanogels were also prepared. Release of DOX from the hybrid and hollow hydrogel particles with two different crosslinking densities was investigated at below and above GCT of the hydrogel particles (25 and 37 °C, respectively). The hollow particles with low crosslinking density showed the lowest release percent due to its higher loading capacity. In addition, the DOX release percent was reduced by increasing temperature from 25 to 37 °C.
