The use of controlled drug delivery systems is widely considered in the world. In this research, drug delivery systems based on synthetic nano-gelatin were investigated to carry the drug curcumin. First, synthesis of nano-gelatin containing the drug curcumin was carried out and glutaraldehyde was used as a cross-linking agent. After the synthesis, the morphology of the samples was examined by SEM. Then, drug loading in nano-gelatin substrate was confirmed by FTIR spectrum and the effect of cross-linking agent on drug release was investigated using UV-vis spectrum. Finally, the synthesized system with a drug to gelatin ratio of 1:3 and glutaraldehyde concentration of 8% was found to be suitable due to the higher amount of loaded drug as well as more continuous and controlled release
