In this study, different types of polypropylene (homopolymer and copolymers) with different melt flow index (0.35, 10 and 25 gr/10 min) were used along with high density polyethylene with a melt flow index of 1.65 gr/10 min. The samples were mixed in an internal mixer and molded with a hot press to make sheets for testing anc characterization. The blend of random copolymer polyproplylene with a melt flow index of 0.35 gr/10 min and high density polyethylene with a weight ratio of 70/30 had the best results in terms of tensile strength and elongation at break. Therefore random copolymer PP is more compatible with high density polyethylene. Further results and conclusion will be presented in the conference
