Utilization of rubber compounds in various industries especially automotive industry possesses developing trend. Nowadays sound damping pads are comprehensively used instead of bituminous anti-vibration pads. Moreover, non-degradability, emission of toxic gases during burning and limited space for accumulated rubbers wastes made manufacturers to find a way to make tire wastes reusable. The aim of this project is to compare ability of samples based on virgin BR compound and devulcanized BR to absorb produced vibrational waves sound dampening. Obtained results confirmed that mechano-chemical devulanization did not change damping properties of mentioned pads.
