The existence of counterfeit products with an appearance similar to that of the original goods causes irreparable damage to the economy. This problem can be overcome by confirming the authenticity of products using anti-counterfeiting fluorescent products. In this research, an anti-counterfeiting fluorescent pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) was produced by synthesizing 7-acryloxycoumarin from 7-hydroxycoumarin and copolymerizing it with other acrylic comonomers using solution free radical polymerization. The synthetic PSA exhibited blue and green fluorescence under UV light with a wavelength of 395 and 420 nm, respectively. Adhesion properties of the PSA, including peel force, shear holding time, and tack were found to be 6.25 N/25mm, 210 minutes, and 6.47 N/25mm, respectively, which were comparable to a commercial PSA.
