Bismaleimide resins are thermoset polymers that used in preparation polymer based composites for using in aerospace industries. Measuring the curing conversion of bismaleimide resins provides the conditions to check the possibility of controlling the curing reaction and then optimizing the cured bismaleimide resin properties. To measure the curing conversion, the increasing in molecular weight during the curing process was used for 10, 20 and 30 minutes at 160°C by investigation changes in viscosity and Mark-Hoink-Sakurada equation. The results showed that the viscosity of bismaleimide resin during the curing process with MDA can be measured through Ubbelohde viscometer in concentrations less than 1% with DMF solvent. Also, the observations shown that Mark-Huink-Sakurada equation can show the changing of molecular mass during the curing time of bismaleimide resin by MDA.
