The main objective of this study is to synthesize novel polyol, based entirely on vegetable oil through a green process. In order to prepare polyol Di methyl ethanol aminated (DSFO), epoxidized sunflower oil was ring-opened with KBr. Chemical structure of DSFO verified by FT-IR and 1HNMR spectroscopies. The obtained results suggested that these kinds of novel polyol would be extensively efficient and applicable in polyurethane coating.
