Porous polymer beads can be efficiently used to separate herbal compounds. In order to improve mechanical behavior of polymer beads and resistance against acidic and basic conditions, a monomer with low glass transition temperature (Tg) value like butyl acrylate used in terpolymerization. Poly(styrene-co-butyl acrylate) cross-linked by divinylbenzene (DVB) were synthesized via suspension polymerization. Dodecane used as a progen solvent. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) images were confirmed modifying of surface polymeric beads.
