This work amis to determine the effect of graphite oxide (GO) as carbon filler on the hydrophobicity of epoxy coatings. GO was derived from graphite powder by utilizing modified wet chemical oxidation’s method. GO based epoxy composite coatings were coated on glass substrate using a film coater. In this study we investigated the effect of GO content on the hydrophobicity has investigated. The results show that due GO content increment, hydrophobicity was increased. In addition findings suggested that prepared sample containing 10 wt.% GO had a contact angle of 123 ̊.
