Polyaspartic esters can be used instead of the usual polyamines in the polyurea system to overcome fast-curing and complex formulation problems. Abrasion resistance of polyurea systems is one of their most important characteristics of them. Therefore, the abrasion resistance of different prepolymerized isocyanates (using TDI and castor oil) are measured with a Taber instrument which leads to a quadratic equation that predicts the best resistance in a sample with NCO:OH near 6.2:1. The calculated value and experimental are compared and show a close estimation.
