Different compositions of epoxy vinyl ester (up to 60 wt%) was incorporated in methyl methacrylate monomer. The benzoyl peroxide and dimethyl aniline were used as initiator and co-initiator, respectively. The glass transition temperature as measured in DMTA test showed a decrease of about 7% with the addition of 20 wt% epoxy vinyl ester resin in comparison with that of PMMA. However, the results of lap shear strength test showed about 150% improvement in adhesion strength for this compositions. The thermal resistance of the adhesive was investigated using TGA test method in addition to the residual adhesion strength after thermal aging at 200 ºC for 24 hrs. It was found that the addition of epoxy vinyl ester resulted in remarkable thermal stability mainly due to aromticity in chain backbone.
