In this study, we tried to investigate the drip separation behavior in droplet formation process using commercial software, OpenFOAM. The effect of viscosity on haddish behavior was studied numerically, while other parameters such as density and surface tension remained constant. The results showed that although the increase in viscosity had no significant effect on the separation process such as string length before separation, separation time, string narrowing process and deformation of the main droplet, but its effect on the size of the satellite droplet could not be ignored. Finally, the results were compared with the experimental data from our previous study and a good agreement was observed between the experimental and simulated results.
