Today, hydrogel nanocomposites are widely used as adsorbents for removal of contaminants from aqueous solution. In this work, hydrogel nanocomposite of Acrylamide/Gum Arabic/Carbon nanotubes has been synthesized by free radical polymerization method.The fabricated adsorbent w:as char:acterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The adsorption properties of prepared nanocomposte investigated by uv-visible spectroscopy. The results indicated that the hydrogel nanocomposite at room temperature and pH of about 12 had the highest absorption of basic violet dye, which was reported to be about 95%.
