In this work, modified graphite was used as shell of microcapsule and polyethylen glycol (PEG) 2000 as phase change material which encapsulate. Oxidized graphite (GO) was prepared using 3:2:1 mixture of H2SO4/HNO3/HCl acid solution then GO was modified by toluene diisocyanate (TDI) and ethylen glycol (EG). Microcapsules were systhesised in a simple way urethane groups preparation at 80°C. The results of FTIR test showed that the surface of the material is well modified. Also, in this research, the effect of GO on the leakage rate of phase change materials from microcapsules was investigated. For adequate sample, the leakage was less than 2.5%.
