In this study, star-shaped polycaprolactone was synthesized using glycerol as an initiator via the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of ε-caprolactone (CL). Hydrogen nuclear magnetic resonance (1HNMR) was used to confirm the chemical structure of Star-PCL and calculate its accurate molecular weight. The functional groups of Star-PCL were investigated by Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).
