Poly(acrylic acid)-block-poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) terpolymer was synthesized by reversible addition–fragmentation chain-transfer (RAFT) process, and used to prepare spherical micelles in organic solvent. The interaction parameter between blocks and different solvents was calculated and the appropriate solvent was selected to create a spherical micelle with a poly(acrylic acid) core. The micelles were analyzed using DLS and FESEM. The terpolymer formed spherical micelles with a diameter of 33 nm in acetone, although acetone was not a good solvent for any of the terpolymer components.
