In this study, we investigated the properties of two available commercial grades of HDPE films. According to FTIR analysis, it can be seen that the Basel film sample has a higher amount of comonomer. This makes the impact resistance of these films higher than Mitsui one. In the Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) curves, the Basel film demonstrated a single broad peak, while the Mitsui sample showed a real bimodal curve, demonstrating the better processability of the later one.
