In this study, we focused on gel origin in HDPE films produced by Mitsui licensed plants using the slurry method. In this regard, the results of the hot stage microscopy test and Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) analysis were assessed. As a consequence of the employed tests, the origin of the gels was recognized as un-melted high molecular weight polyethylene chains in the composition of HDPE films.
